Last 2 pet wethers available for 2026

Comet (polled) and Star (horned) are the LAST two 2026 wethers still looking for new barns. It baffles me that I still have these two cuties! They would just love a pet home where they can get allll the attention. Both of them are brothers, born to my mini lamancha YanYan, castrated July 7th via clampy clamp, weaned from their bottles, fully up to date on CDT, and from a clean tested herd against CAE and Johnes.

Comet is a fairly independent and curious boy, who enjoys exploring all the nooks and crannies in both the pasture and barn. He does not mind some alone time from the herd. However, he DOES mind if you are not willing to go to him every now and then throughout the day and give him vigorous head rubs. He will break, instantly, and become goo the moment you touch that smooth, smooth head of his. Comet was born without very many wrinkles or folds in that brain, and he has actually grown into his intelligence, which is not the most common thing. Typically the dumb goats tend to stay that way. I spoke a lot about Rye and how he used his smarts for the power of good, and while Comet still has some chaotic tendencies, he mostly utilizes his smarts for the power of adventure and finding the best tree sap a goat has ever tasted. I would call him a true forager at heart.

Star, on the other hand, is indeed a bit dumb. In a very endearing way. Where did ALL that ear come from, you ask? I'm wondering that too. If the pasture got a good enough updraft at ground level, he would probably take off flying. Watch out for him and tornadoes. I have a theory that in the womb, Star got the ears that my retained lamancha baby Turnip did not, so they just doubled in size. Who knows. Regardless, Star is adorable, pretty, and does not know a lot about how things work, nor does he care to. I've watched him get "abandoned" in a pen with an open gate, but instead of panicking or getting distressed, Star tends to just kind of accept his new fate of forever being in that pen now. He is very chill and laid back, enjoys the simple things of life, and prefers to just hang out by your side and get scritches on his sides. He could very easily be a lap goat. Star did not get disbudded because much like what happened with Helix and Yucca, by the time I started disbudding, his horn growth was a bit more developed than I'm comfortable doing. I'd rather have a horned goat than a botched disbudding. However, Star is very much a gentle giant without a mean bone in his body. He makes me think of soup on a cold rainy day. Does that make sense? If it doesn't, go have some hot soup on a cold rainy day, and report back. It's Star.

They are currently available for $100 together, or $75 each.
